The first INDONESIAN INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION NETWORK - ITV

My posting in Kaskus about the importance for Indonesia of having an "international TV" has been viewed by nearly 3,000 readers within only 4-5 days, to me it means that Indonesians are really longing for an (so-called) international promotion trough televisi, just like what Singapore has with Channel News Asia, or Korea with Arirang, or UK with BBC, or US with CNN, or Australia with ABC, or China with CCTV.

Five minutes ago, I just realized that Indonesia has officially launched an Indonesian international channel like those tvs i mentioned above. Maybe, it's finally setup after they read my previous posting in this blog. hahaha.



Recognized as “ Indonesia TV ” with the mission “ Bringing Indonesia To The World “ (exactly like my article in this blog, few months ago) ITV is the first Indonesian TV Channel developing TV content to promote Indonesian Culture, Entertainment, Business and Travel through a powerful Satellite for international viewer’s consumption. It was officially launched on August 8th 2008 (8-8-8). WEWW!

Broadcasted 24 hours 7 days a week with some of the programs subtitled in English, ITV started its coverage from Asia Pacific region with long term goal to distribute the to all pay TV operators on a global scale.

Using Telstar 10 Satellite, ITV can gain access to more than 70 million cable household across 33 countries in Asia Pacific. So, Asians....watch Indonesia right inside your living room, and see the real Indonesia, and my beloved Indonesians !
